Based on the provisions of Law 8-90, the investor established in ZFSI enjoys a fiscal package which includes: Income tax exemption; duty free imports of raw materials and components for assembling products, construction materials and transportation equipment, among others; and free repatriation of capital and gains. Products manufactured within the free zone are eligible for customs preferential treatment in the USA under the DR-CAFTA trade agreement, and also for free access into the European Union market under the CARIFORO-EPA trade agreement.
